KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERAEnvironmental groups are using statements made by industry groups and government officials as the environmentalists seek to derail a primary finding of the U.S. State Department’s review of the proposed Keystone XL pipeline which would operate in Canada and the U.S. That primary finding is that Canada oil sands can still expand without Keystone XL.

President Barack Obama will have the last word on whether this project can move ahead. The President has mentioned in an important speech that he would only give the go ahead on the Keystone XL if the project does not significantly exacerbate carbon pollution.
